Introduction

Wytham Woods are one of the most researched areas of woodland in the world. The key projects are Blue Tits and Great Tits which commenced in 1947, small mammals in 1962, vegetation monitoring (1974), badgers  (1976), grassland restoration (1986), and climate change from 1992.
